Legend says this carving was uncovered in a deserted Tibetan monastery after it was abandoned following the celebration of one of its most infamous member's departure. It is said to not just be a representation of the Wachati tribe on its way to do battle with their sworn enemies the Wachootoo tribe, but the actual entrapment of the souls of the Wachati warriors by the Wachootoo's medicine-man - until said time the sacred white bat "Shikaka" is returned.
