Luis Diego Colon Burgues was known throughout Cayay, Puerto Rico for his vibrant, charming renditions of the islands native coquí; so much so that it was thought he was inhabited by the spirit of Coquí, the son of the original Taíno chief on the island. Luis Diego of course laughed this off, but secretly hoped one day the goddess who had fallen in love with Coquí would see his gifts and return.
